Email Your Scanned Images
For photo restoration and retouching, by far the easiest and fastest way is to email your scanned images to me for a quotation. If you have a good scanner then you can scan your photographs yourself. Even if you scanner is not that good, it may be good enough for me to quote to. You can also take your images to most camera stores, photo stores, or Kinkos and have them scanned for you. I strongly encourage this approach as it saves money for both you and me, and it avoids sending your irreplaceable photographs through the mail. See my Tips for Scanning Photographs and Negatives
Mailing Photographs
The US Post-Office has special envelopes for mailing photographs that are rigid, flat, and not easily bent. You can also use standard manilla envelopes by placing a piece of cardboard on each side of the stack of photographs. If the envelope is much larger than the photos, you should tape the two pieces of cardboard together along all four sides to keep the photos from slipping out during shipping. Mark envelopes as "Photographs: Do Not Bend"
Mailing Negatives and Slides
I strongly urge you to mail negatives and slides to Blue Dog Digital Imaging where you can be assured of the very best handling and scanning possible. Use the original negative sleeve or slide box whenever possible. Additional sleeve and slide boxes may be purchased at better camera and photo shops. You may also find them in an office supply store.
Whenever mailing photographic materials it is best to notify us via email or telephone. Please provide you home telephone number, email address, home address, and a brief description of the work that you would like to have performed. If there are any questions we will contact to discuss your needs. You will be provided with a quotation for the work to be performed and fixed-price for the work.
