Photo Restoration

Photo Restoration is the process of returning an old or damaged photograph to as near its original condition as practical.

Easier restorations require 10-15 minutes of effort and cost $15 each.
The majority of photos require 25-30 minutes and cost $25. An hour costs $50.
Occasionally, very difficult restorations may require longer. Usually, a frank discussion about the importance of the photograph and your budget will result in an acceptable compromise.

The point is that you will not know the cost until you ask.

Photo Restoration Service includes: Hand dusting with photo-safe compressed air as required. Scanning at 600dpi with a calibrated film scanner. Removal of all surface texture and stains. Removal and repair of surface aberrations such as dust, scratches, and pitting. Repair or replacement of missing pieces and tears. Localized correction of photo density, contrast, color, brightness. Sepia toning if desired. Free electronic delivery.

Cost: $15-$50 (most). Quote required.

Optional Services:

$25.00	Cross-Polarized Photo Copy (as required for “silvered” photographs)
